A little deliberate practice
A personal best tells you how far one run went. A useful practice run tells you why. These short exercises turn a vague goal like “last longer” into something you can actually watch and adjust.
Where to begin
Choose one exercise and keep the same companion and window size for a few attempts. Look for a repeated pattern, not a perfect result: where the first unnecessary correction happens, whether you leave a gap facing the next opening, or how much space you have before the left edge catches up. Stop a session when you have learned something. There is no promised score or required daily streak; the drills are optional ways to explore the game.
A first-gap practice drill for ORBIT
Use a small, repeatable target to learn the difference between entering an opening and completing a safe crossing.
Learn ORBIT’s steering by observing one reversal
A focused observation exercise for recognizing continuous heading and the delayed visible effect of a curve reversal.
Compare earlier and later reversals in ORBIT
Use a controlled timing comparison to locate the cause of an overshoot without changing your whole play style at once.
Practice the transition between high and low ORBIT gaps
Focus on the open space between two gates to learn when a climb or descent must begin.
Practice leaving an ORBIT gap with a usable heading
Evaluate the motion after a successful crossing so you can set up the following gate with fewer emergency corrections.
Practice leaving more clearance around ORBIT’s branches
Turn repeated corner clips into a focused exercise in body clearance, entry steepness and far-edge safety.
A practice drill for staying ahead of ORBIT’s camera
Diagnose looping and lost forward progress by tracking your left margin after each crossing.
Practice making every ORBIT tap have a purpose
A steering-awareness exercise that reduces unplanned reversals without imposing an arbitrary tap limit.
Use three ORBIT results to diagnose a recurring mistake
A short review exercise that separates branch, boundary and camera failures before choosing a specific adjustment.
Practice centered crossings without sacrificing a safe ORBIT run
Use the opening midpoint as a precision target while keeping full-body clearance and the next approach in view.
