Your privacy in the forest.

Privacy policy

Effective date:

ORBIT is a one-tap forest game by Tigr Ventures. This policy covers the website at justonemoreorbit.com, the browser game and home-screen app at play.justonemoreorbit.com, score sharing and support.

The current public version is free, with no account, live advertising or analytics tracker. Game progress stays in your browser.

Who is responsible

The publisher and controller responsible for ORBIT is:

Tigr Ventures UG (haftungsbeschränkt)
Kuhnkestraße 6
24118 Kiel, Germany
Managing Director: Tim Grossmann
Privacy and support: tim@tigr.ventures

Commercial register: Amtsgericht Kiel, HRB 25140. VAT identification number: DE421916464.

Game progress and preferences

The game saves personal bests, the total number of cleared gaps, companion and forest choices, and music and sound preferences in your browser's local storage when it is available. Discoveries are determined from that progress. Daily trails use a date on your device.

You do not need an ORBIT account. The game has no player database, cloud save, online leaderboard, chat, purchase flow or analytics SDK. It does not upload your local progress to Tigr Ventures. Music and effects are synthesized on your device.

The home-screen app also caches game files, fonts, artwork and help pages on your device so you can play offline after an online visit. The browser checks for updates when online. This cache is separate from your saved progress. Local progress remains until you clear the game's site data, your browser removes it, or the relevant browser profile is removed. You can delete it through your browser's site-data settings for the address where you play ORBIT. This also removes saved settings and bests; we have no server copy to restore. Browser or device backup features are controlled by your software and its settings.

Sharing a score

When you choose “Share score”, ORBIT creates a score image and challenge message locally. They can include your score, personal best, companion, forest and Daily trail date. You choose the destination through your device's sharing interface, or use the available save or copy option. The game does not share automatically or request access to your contacts.

When played from a public web address, the current sharing code can also include a challenge link containing course, companion and score-target parameters. Local previews omit that link. A shared link can reveal those details to recipients and the service hosting the link when opened. Shared images and messages are handled by the recipient and the app or service you choose under their own privacy policies.

Advertisements and test previews

Live advertisements are not enabled in this public browser version. It does not use an advertising identifier or run an analytics SDK. A deliberately opened ad-test link can display a clearly labelled local test advertisement; the production website blocks external advertising scripts.

Separate localhost and private-network development previews may request Google's test-ad script. Such requests send technical connection information to Google and are covered by Google's Privacy Policy. These developer previews are not the normal public game.

Before enabling live advertising, we will update this policy for the actual providers, data use, retention, international transfers and applicable legal bases, and provide any required consent and privacy controls.

Website hosting and technical requests

Fonts, artwork and game code are served with ORBIT. The public website does not load Google Fonts, analytics scripts or tracking cookies. Music and sound effects are generated on your device.

Our website and game are hosted by Railway Corporation, 548 Market St PMB 68956, San Francisco, California 94104, United States. The application runs in Railway's Amsterdam region. Serving requests and protecting the service involves technical information such as your IP address, request time, requested address, browser information and response status. Shared challenge parameters are part of the requested address. Local game progress is not otherwise uploaded.

The bare-domain redirect is operated by iwantmyname. Requests to that address also reach its forwarding service, with the technical connection information needed to redirect your browser.

Railway and its service providers may process technical information outside the EEA. Railway describes its processing and retention in its Privacy Policy and international-transfer provisions, including EU standard contractual clauses, in its Data Processing Addendum. An EU application region does not mean that all provider processing stays in the EU. Contact us for details about applicable recipients, retention and safeguards.

When you contact us

If you email tim@tigr.ventures, we receive your email address, your message and anything you choose to attach, such as device details or screenshots. We use this information to reply, investigate your request and handle follow-up questions. Providing this information is voluntary, but we may be unable to help without details of the issue. Please send only what is needed.

Correspondence is handled by Tigr Ventures and the email and technical service providers used to deliver and store it. We retain it for as long as needed to resolve the request and relevant follow-up, and where necessary to meet legal recordkeeping obligations or establish, exercise or defend legal claims. The applicable period depends on the request and those obligations. You can ask us about or request deletion of correspondence using the contact above.

Legal bases and your rights

Where the GDPR applies, we handle support requests and operate and secure the website and game on the basis of our legitimate interests in responding to users and operating our services (Article 6(1)(f)). Processing necessary to fulfil a contract or take steps you request before a contract is based on Article 6(1)(b); legally required records are based on Article 6(1)(c).

Subject to the applicable conditions, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of personal data we hold about you. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. Email tim@tigr.ventures; we may need information to verify and locate your request.

You may complain to a data protection authority, including the Unabhängiges Landeszentrum für Datenschutz Schleswig-Holstein, or the authority where you live or work. We do not make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about you through the current game.

Children's privacy

ORBIT is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children. The current game does not ask for a name, age or account. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can review and handle it appropriately.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when ORBIT's features or data practices change and revise the effective date above. Changes for any future advertising or native-app release will be published before those features are enabled. Any notice or consent required for new processing will be provided before that processing begins.
