Choose the place you will keep playing
Follow Play from the ORBIT website to the game address. Installing the game gives you a direct route to the forest; saving the information website would take you back through the website instead. Use the browser you expect to keep using, particularly if you have already earned discoveries there.
A link inside a messaging app may not expose the same browser menu. Open the game in Chrome itself if you want to follow the Chrome installation path.
Follow the available installation route
ORBIT can show an installation prompt when the browser supplies one. If it instead shows instructions, use Chrome’s More menu beside the address bar. Google’s current instructions say Install and create shortcut, then Install. Older interfaces can say Install app or Add to Home screen; follow the confirmation your device presents.
After adding the icon, launch it and check the game screen. Installation is optional: the same browser game remains playable from its web address, and there is no separate paid edition or account signup required for the installed version.
Make the first launch useful
Keep the device connected during this first opening so the offline shell can finish preparing. Then try a short run, check the menu, and note whether your existing best and discoveries are visible. The icon alone is not a test of saved progress or offline readiness.
Before a journey, disconnect and reopen through that same icon. If the game cannot load, reconnect and finish preparation rather than uninstalling it. Removing browser data can also remove records, and ORBIT has no server copy that can put those records back.
