Begin when the playing area is ready

Choose any available companion or course before starting. Close the menu or other dialog, because the game blocks starting and steering while a dialog is open. The start action creates the run; it is not also a curvature reversal.

When the run begins, the companion is already moving. Look at the first opening and use the next deliberate tap, click or Space press for steering. Avoid treating the start action as a timed steering input that should immediately bend the path.

Let the result appear before retrying

The canvas has a brief guard after a run ends so the tap associated with a collision does not instantly erase the result. If an immediate tap does not restart, read the result and use a fresh action.

The Retry button is the clearest choice on the result screen. R is available there as a keyboard shortcut. Holding a key is not a sequence of retries because repeated keydown events are ignored. If the interface is showing a dialog, resolve it before trying again.

Use the reset to make a comparison

A retry clears the current score, elapsed run time and path. It keeps the selected setup and previously recorded progress. On the repeatable Classic trail, this gives you another chance to test the same early approach with a specific change.

Before restarting, name that change to yourself: begin the reversal sooner, leave more room above the body, or preserve forward movement. Starting several attempts in quick succession without identifying the previous failure makes it harder to tell whether the next result came from a useful adjustment.
