Relearn the interval between taps

The same pause between inputs lets Ember travel farther than Pip. Its smaller turning circle also changes how rapidly the direction of travel bends. Begin by observing a few short curves in the opening space and make deliberate reversals. Do not use your old rhythm as a rule. A sequence that arrived neatly at a gap with another companion can now curve past the useful approach.

Watch the upper edge

Ember has an upward drift in addition to its circular motion. If your familiar tap pattern repeatedly brings you close to the upper branch, changing timing may matter more than tapping more often. Think about the direction you need at the gap’s entrance and the space required to leave the gap safely. Clearing one opening with an extreme heading can make the following opening difficult even when the score increases.

Compare a repeatable setup

Keep Classic selected and use the same window shape for an initial comparison. Try Ember for several attempts before returning to Pip, then compare how readable the approaches feel. A single lucky run says little about which companion you control consistently. Ember receives separate records for Classic and each daily date, so your previous companion’s best is not the target automatically displayed here. Forest choices do not cancel Ember’s pace or drift. If you like Amberwood’s presentation, you can choose it without converting Ember into a different movement type.
