Check whether silence is expected

ORBIT starts its audio through player interaction and makes it quiet when the game is not active. Silence before a first tap or while you are using another window is not enough to diagnose a fault. Return to the game, use its controls and listen again.

Browsers can restrict audio that has not been started by a user gesture. ORBIT attempts to unlock its audio context during interaction, so a deliberate tap on a game control is a useful first check after the page has loaded.

Separate the audio controls

Open the game menu and inspect Music and Sounds independently. You can have music off while action effects remain on, or the reverse. The run’s mute control changes both together, so a previous mute can explain why neither layer is audible now.

Check the device’s media volume and output destination as well. Connected headphones or another selected output can make sound seem absent from the speaker you are listening to. Test another familiar audio source to distinguish the device output from ORBIT’s own settings.

Narrow the remaining problem

If the game works silently only when disconnected, try it online after finishing your run. The primary audio files are precached, but an alternate decoding format may need a connection. This is different from a general failure to launch offline.

If the problem persists online, report whether music, effects or both are missing, along with the browser, device and launch method. Reloading starts a fresh game session, so finish first. Clearing all website data is unnecessary for these initial checks and risks deleting the records you want to keep.
