Why Float may or may not appear
ORBIT checks for the browser’s Document Picture-in-Picture capability and hides Float on coarse-pointer layouts. It is therefore an optional desktop control, not something every device should display. A phone missing Float is not evidence that its installation has failed.
Chrome’s platform documentation describes this capability as a window that can stay above other windows. Browser support and restrictions determine availability; the presence of a normal video picture-in-picture button elsewhere does not establish support for ORBIT’s interactive window.
Arrange the current session
Use Float from the game when the control is visible. ORBIT requests an upright window and moves the existing game interface into it. Your run is not copied into a second independent game. The original tab displays a message explaining where the forest went.
Choose a comfortable location and size before concentrating on a run. The floating window receives its own keyboard input, so focus that window when using Space. Looking away from an active run can hold it; follow the on-screen prompt when you return.
Return without confusing the two windows
Close the floating window using its window control to return the interface to the original tab. Keep that original tab open while floating: the browser capability is tied to its opening window and is not a replacement for installing ORBIT.
If a request is refused or dismissed, ORBIT leaves the game in its tab. Continue there rather than repeatedly opening windows. For a repeatable desktop launch on another day, use a bookmark or your browser’s app installation option instead.
