Compare the cost of getting started
Ask how much work comes before the part you enjoy: account creation, downloads, menus, tutorials or a long saved scenario. ORBIT can begin in the browser with Pip, Wildwood and Classic available immediately. You do not need to unlock Daily before trying the main movement. Loading still requires game files, so a first visit on a slow connection may differ from returning to a prepared browser.
Choose a stopping rule before playing
Short attempts can invite repeated retries, which means a short-run game does not automatically create a short session. A simple personal rule such as three attempts or stopping after the next result makes the boundary explicit. If you are experimenting, choose one observation to test rather than requiring a new best before you leave. A useful attempt can teach you why one approach failed even if the score stays unchanged.
Match the attention demand to the moment
ORBIT needs visual attention during an active run. Its one-input control scheme reduces the number of controls to learn but does not make it an idle background activity. Ordinary focus loss holds the current run, yet closing or navigating away is a different event and should not be treated as a saved mid-run session. If you need to stop immediately without considering movement, a format that waits between turns may suit that moment better. Select for attention, stopping points and persistence together, rather than session-length labels alone.
